This site is an educational art blog. It does not sell anything here, run its own analytics, or set advertising cookies.
Mailing list
If you sign up for the mailing list, your email address is stored by ConvertKit (the newsletter service this site uses) and is used only to send occasional posts and updates from essentialine. It is never sold or shared. Every email includes an unsubscribe link; you can also write to the address below to be removed, and your address will be deleted.
Hosting
The site is served by GitHub Pages, which may log standard request data (IP address, browser, page requested) for security and operational purposes, per GitHub’s privacy statement.
Embedded video
Some posts embed process videos hosted on Cloudflare Stream and linked on YouTube. Playing an embedded video loads content from those services, which have their own privacy policies (Cloudflare, YouTube / Google).
YouTube
The owner publishes to the essentialine YouTube channel, authorised through YouTube’s own login. This acts only on that channel, and collects no data about anyone else on YouTube.
Pinterest app
The essentialine Pinterest app (app ID 1620906) is a private tool used only by the owner of this site, to post essentialine’s own drawings to the essentialine Pinterest account. It reads that account’s username, to confirm it is signed in to the right account, its boards, to pick one, and its own Pins, so a drawing is never pinned twice, and it creates Pins: an image, a title, a description and a link to the drawing’s print listing. It reads nothing about other Pinterest users, and shares nothing with anyone. The only thing it stores is the account’s authorisation, which can be revoked at any time in the Pinterest account’s settings.
